We would like to invite our Network members to the EUniverCities Network meeting in Lausanne (Switzerland), 26-29 May 2015.
The draft programme of the Lausanne network venue is available via this link. The document is still in progress, but will give you the necessary information at this stage.
Topic of the meeting is the added value of city-university collaboration on sustainable issues. We will submit two collaboration patterns to the peer review:
1). Science in the city:
How researchers and city officers take advantage (or not!) of each other, to put scientific expertise at disposal of the city development on one hand, or to provide scientific investigation with real-life situations on the other hand?
2). Campus as a living lab:
Can the campus community act as a pilot for projects to be further implemented in an urban environment?
We will also make you discover (together with several hundreds of school class kids) the yearly University’s open doors event , which is organized with the participation of Lausanne. The topic of the 2015 edition is about human and social aspects of … sustainability!
Friday morning will be all about the evaluation of the EUniverCities Network and development of new projects.
Upon request by members, a sub-thematic network meeting will be hosted during the midday “Market place sessions” on Wednesday and Thursday. Topics are to be confirmed.
We think and hope that campus managers, sustainability officers, promoters of “action research” and people acting for the interface of science with the society should be particularly interested in attending this venue.
Please register for the Lausanne meeting online via this link.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Lausanne!
