The University’s CPD offer seeks to provide front line professionals from all sectors with career development opportunities, delivered in a flexible format. Courses combine healthcare expertise with research-led education, and are delivered by experts from a range of disciplines.
The modular format means that courses can be tailored to meet the needs of individuals or teams and they demonstrate the University’s commitment to helping to develop advanced skills and specialised knowledge across the healthcare sector. Courses are accredited by internationally recognised bodies such as the UK’s Royal College of Physicians.
One example of the strong interdisciplinary approach is the Nature, Health and Well-being CPD Course which is now into its 4th year. This short course is open to anyone from the UK and internationally who is interested in the nexus of natural environments and human health, including;
The course explores how the natural environment can influence human physical and mental health and wellbeing and is led by experts from The European Centre for Environment and Human Health.
Other courses on offer include Applied Statistical Modelling for Health and Life Sciences, Principles of Primary Care, Principles of Health Protection, and a new Humanitarian Healthcare CPD Course.
