Exeter's new city centre meeting space officially opened its doors in January. The Innovation Hub is a collaboration between the University of Exeter and Exeter City Council which provides a dedicated environment to support local businesses, students, partners, and other organisations.

The Innovation Hub provides convenient city-centre access to the knowledge, expertise and resources of the University of Exeter. In addition, it also hosts several University business support programmes, local business support organisations, and thematic partnerships, including the Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Creative Arc. The overarching aim of the new facility is to help Exeter-based organisations to innovate and grow. It offers a versatile space for anything from one-to-one consultations, to training sessions, workshops, seminars, working lunches and high profile launch events.

In particular, Exeter-based businesses that are actively developing new products or services or that have an interest in collaborating with the University of Exeter or other partners are encouraged to use the services on offer.

Councillor Phil Bialyk, Leader of Exeter City Council said “Exeter City Council have worked in collaboration with the University of Exeter to open the new Innovation Hub in the City Centre, its been an aspiration of mine for some time.  Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the new Innovation Hub is a front door to services provided by the University in how they support the Government’s Levelling Up agenda.

The Innovation Hub is providing support and advice to students, entrepreneurs and to the wider business community in developing ideas into a viable business propositions. The Hub will support graduate retention for Exeter and the wider Devon region, providing opportunities for students studying in Exeter, an aspiration from myself and business leaders from across the city.“
